None of the Android or Samsung users I know care about this at all, and they're certainly not going to switch to iOS because of it. People outside the press understand that this kind of thing happens sometimes, and as long as it is handled promptly and fairly it's not a deal-breaker.

If consumers dropped any affection for any brand that had a recall, there would be no car companies left in existence.

I'm glad they discovered this battery problem before I get a Note 7. I still intend to get one because it's exactly what I want in a phone.
