I know the link is quite large but if you google image "Hawken drawing" you will see a graphic artist drawing for the game "Hawken".

Does anybody know what application/hardware they may be using?

It's a super nice multi touch monitor made by a Canadian company called Wacom. These screens are very cool but very expensive, here's a link to the Wacom page advertising the monitors:
