Im having sony tv 65" 4k
Its a high cost tv so im afraid of
Do tv get damaged using it like a monitor?

I use my Vizio 48 inch, now for 2 years , no issues running a TV.

If your TV has a the proper connection on the back, it won't damage the TV. But from what i have seen round the web, people who have tried it think the image quality is not very good, compared to a computer monitor. I don't know why exactly that is, but that's what i've heard.

Used as a monitor, a TV will suffer no damage whatsoever, but they are inferior to a purpose-built monitors for computer use, especially if, like me, your main PC work requires colour management & monitor profiling for Photoshopping.

The only time I've used a TV as PC monitor is as a temporary stop-gap until I obtain a new monitor.

No damage possible.
Downside may be that the TV overscans the desktop. You loose buttons at the edge of the screen when you open a window full screen. Kind of a pain. You may be able to set the TV not to do this. Sometimes called 1:1.
