Straight talk has changed recently and you can now use CDMA phones on their network.

you can go to: http://www.straighttalk.com/wps/portal/home/shop/sims
To see if your phone is compatible by putting in the IMEI/MEID

I just yesterday purchased the kit from Walmart myself for $60, included all three different size Sim cards for T-Mobile, all three for AT&T, and an activation card for CDMA phones all in the same kit, includes the first month of service at $45, so it's basically a $15 activation kit/fee

Hello Michelle!

Staight Talk has been updated recently. Initially, they only supported AT&T & unlocked GSM phones......
Now, They accept AT&T GSM phones, t-Mobile GSM phones, and it also says "CDMA Phones"

.... Now, this thing is both Sprint and Verizon use CDMA phones(phones that don't need a Sim card to connect to its network)

..... I have only checked one Verizon phone in the past(But this was an iPhone 4, which had so Sim card slot), and straight talk said it was not compatible, So my thinking is the only CDMA phones that Straight Talk excepts, our sprint phones..... But that may not be an issue for you anyway....If you go to the link I put below, it will tell you if your IM EEI number is a compatible CDMA phone for straight talk. But it should be okay you and if it says your phone is not supported........

But this probably will not matter anyway, you're iPhone 4S has a Sim card slot on the side, Correct?

But also if I remember correctly, the Verizon iPhones also include a Sim card slot for GSM services.
You may be able to just stick in a Straight Talk ATT GSM Sim Card to get it on.

The best way to find out is to find a friend with an AT&T phone (does not need to be an iPhone), stick the sim card for a moment, stick it in your Verizon iPhone 4S and see it if works... I and 99% sure it will.

If you need help, I will be more than happy to walk you through getting this going, just reply with any questions.

BUT I REPEAT, I AM 99.9% SURE IT WILL WORK (IF YOUR 4S HAS A SIM CARD SLOT)

Best regards and wishes,
Nicholas Nasti

I have a Iphone 4s and I had it unlocked by Verizon to use out of the country so I tried the straight talk At&t sim card and it did not work. Verizon had to get my phone number back from straight talk. That was in April and in August Verizon told me that my phone was still unlocked but that Apple has it set up so it will only work with Verizon. When I bought the sim card from Straight talk, it had 2 sizes of sim cards for At&t and T-Mobile, but it also had a CDMA card that has an access code for Verizon. This time it worked. So my 4s is using Straight Talk now but it still uses the Verizon network. Hope this helps.

Was you able to use your locked at&t phone with straight talk? I know a few years back it did not matter but now I'm not sure and I'm looking at buying a used locked phone to use with them

Hey I have a verizon 4s I am trying to activate on straight talk. The 4s currently is unlocked and has a verizon sim card in it. Do I need to remove the sim card for it to work, leave the sim card in, or purchase a new sim card? The CDMA card you are talking about is an actually sim card or just a card with scratch code on it?

Does this have to be done after the account with Verizon is closed. I'm totally illiterate when it comes to this stuff. My son in law who provided the phone to me had always paid. Now he's got another job and needs me to pay my own way with Verizon. But I'd rather go with someone else if I can. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Vickey.
