cannot install intel driver for lenovo ideapad z500

So I have a lenovo ideadpad z500 laptop, and I have recently updated to windows 8.1 by recently I mean about 3 hours ago.

I have a monitor I connect to my laptop via HDMI, but it was not working. So I went and followed some tutorials on this website about reinstalling your driver to fix this. I uninstalled my intel driver for VGA but it is not letting me reinstall this, Does anyone know how to fix this issue? If so please help me!

What version are you trying to install?
Can you list your specs if possible. lenovo ideadpad z500 can have different configuration

I am getting my drivers from lenovo, and the intel webpage. But when I download and try to install them, It either says "no appropriate driver to be installed" or "Your system does not meet the minimum requirements for this update"
system specs:
GeForce GT 635M
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-3210m CPU @ 2.50GHz
6.00 GB RAM (5.86 useable)
windows 8.1

I also have a 64 bit operating system

I have the latest game ready driver installed, although when I try to plug in my second monitor, my screen flashes black and then says my display driver has stopped working and recovered again, and then repeats. Any ideas?
