I have a Dell Studio 15 (1537) and the display (which is brand new) won't turn on but the buttons above the keyboard are turning on.

You say the display is new, but you don't say if the device itself is.

If the device is new, then you should have it looked at by the place you got it, or the manufacturer.

Now if it is just the display is new, and you had someone else put it on for you, contact them to have them fix the issue.

However, if you put on the new display yourself, then you should go back in and check all the connections, making sure nothing was not properly connected. That nothing is loose, or missing. Also you should check to make sure nothing else was jarred/knocked loose, when you were replacing the display.

Lastly, if you bought the display (and replaced or had someone replace it), the display could be defective. In that case you would need to...
