Can't add friend on Origin

Greetings,
I wanted to add a friend on origin and it says that i have exceeded my friend limit but i have only 2 friends,the guy that i want to add has 1 friend.
So why am i getting this issue?

The friend limit on origin is 100.
Try reinstalling it on both you and your friends computer

just think my games don't require steam or origin to load or play and I can run my own server and invite as many friends as I want with in the games player limit so why cant you???
