Question Can't login to email after password change

I have a Galaxy S23. I had to change my email password yesterday. I have an ATT/Yahoo/Bellsouth email account I have been using for the last 15 years. After changing my email password on my PC I got an alert on my phone it was having trouble signing in. It prompted me to enter my password. I entered my email address and then the new password. It then brings me to a screen to enter my user id.

I just entered it. Typical ATT/Yahoo. I entered everything again and it just keeps going back repeating the cycle. There is an option to sign in with Google. That doesn't work either. What the hell do I do? My old phone wouldn't even work with email after a certain point. I refuse to keep buying a new phone every couple of years to appease email. This is ridiculous. Is there a way to completely erase all traces of email on my phone and start over again. Maybe even a factory reset of the phone. Anybody else having this issue?

Phone has the latest update.

what app are you using for email?
It was the Samsung mail app. I ended up going into settings, account and removed the email account. I then attempted to create the email account again and it still didn't work. Suspicious that it might not allow for long complex passwords, I went to my PC and changed the password to a weak, simple one. Now I was able to create the email account again. Very dumb of Samsung/ATT/Yahoo not to allow strong passwords. The password it wouldn't accept was a 20 character password created by a password manager. The one I ended up using as an experiment was only 12 characters.

I have had SO many problems with ATT/Yahoo that I have started using my Gmail account for new accounts. This is the kick in the pants I needed to slowly migrate ALL of my accounts with an email as a user name over to my Gmail. Some probably won't even allow me to change the username.

Oh, by the way, I tried installing the Yahoo mail app and it took me to the exact same login fiasco. So it is probably Yahoo with the incompetence to allow for strong passwords.

good to know.
I personally like outlook because I can setup alias that I can use to send and receive message but not to login.
