I recently found my laptop under my shelf the other day, I remember it was from like 2-3 years ago.
It is a Dell inspiron n5110
i7 (cant identify version)
64 bit 4gb ram windows 7
I tried turning it on the other day and It seemed to be very slow when I try browing or opening apps, and I started to feel that the laptop was getting hot too then the screen just freezes as it shoes the loading cursor.
Does anyone know what I need to do?

Solution
Better to clean the dust that is possible, specially check the fan rpm. Re-applying thermal paste will be better. Re-install Windows and check the performance again.

I tried cleaning it out, but it seems to not have much dust inside, tried switching it on again and it still performed like before.

How long have you had it turned on since you found it? Is it possible it is trying to update Windows due to being shut off for so long?

I found it about a week ago and I remember I stopped using it because of it being so slow and inefficient, its gotten worse now. I believe its a heating issue since my fan is making strange noises.
