Can't understand ISOBuster!

Can anyone explain me the two item that are inside the two squares and difference between them?

The one in red is ISO9660 (restricted to the use of short file names) and the one in blue is Joliet (allows for the use of long file names). A more detailed explanation can be found here: http://www.isobuster.com/help/file_systems
ISO9660 is an older standard than the Joliet standard. Both are related to file systems.
