Solved! Can't uninstall anything.

Hello.

Recently, I have attempted to clean up my laptop and remove unwanted programs. However, I have one major problem. Something is preventing me from uninstalling any apps or programs..

When I was going through programs to uninstall, my computer constantly declined and rejected my commands. I remember uninstalling Battle.net, and the uninstaller crashing. I restarted my computer, and tried again. It failed. As it turns out, this is happening with everything I try to uninstall. A message pops up if I try to retry. “Please wait until the current application has finished uninstalling / changed”
Despite NOTHING going on, even in the background.

I believe, I may have downloaded something malicious that prevents my laptop from uninstalling in fear of getting rid of the said malicious software.

I'm no computer expert, and I may look like a huge idiot, but any words of advice would be hugely appreciated. :)

Thank you,
Kate.
