Can't uninstall unwanted apps.

I have a samsung s3, I have some games downloaded that I don't play and have tried several times one by one to uninstall them. My problem is that it won't go past uninstalling... I go setting/app manager/select app, uninstall then ok. It goes to black screen top of page says app name it has a progress bar that says uninstalling beneath it but it never does anything else just stuck on that page, I can go home with home button but it never uninstalls my app... Please help me, do I have a virus or am I doing something wrong.

Root the phone then get something like Titanium Backup (note: rooting might void the warranty). Those are likely apps installed as system by your carrier, which they don't want you to remove.

Or hit the disable button to hide it, but this won't free up space.
