Card reader

I have an Acer aspire 5750, and am having trouble with the card reader, have tried several SD cards but my laptop isn't picking them up, anyone got any ideas as to how to solve this problem.

Check the device Manager to see if the reader isn't disabled.

Thanks, we're not sure what to look for in the device manager, went through what we thought it might be under, but all seems to be ok. it did read one card but not the other's..... we're stumped.

try reading the cards with a different reader (they may have died, unlikely) also make sure there is nothing in the reader slot that may be messing up the connection

Hi, we have tried them in my partners laptop and they work fine, have tried 4 different sd cards and only one was picked up....
