Casualty gaming laptop

Hi guys,
I'm new to pic/laptop gaming and I'm trying to decide what laptop to get. I've got a budget maximum of 1000 U.S. $ but won't be doing anything hardcore. I don't know very much about computer stats and I would like it to have regular computer software like Internet and Microsoft word. I don't really care about battery life but want good speed and graphics.

Just under a $1000 , blazing fast with its i7, and can still get amazing performance in games ( even if you wont be playing high end titles )

You plan to buy a second-handed laptop you mean?
