I use an unlocked Apple iPhone X model A1865, which is CDMA capable, but currently I'm using it as a GSM phone. Yesterday I was in a Spectrum store regarding my internet service and I was offered a really attractive price on an unlimited phone plan bundled with my internet. Spectrum is a CDMA carrier which normally means the radio is a hardware radio. The rep said its not a problem with this phone.
My concern is that Spectrum will SIM-lock it, and I will not be able to revert to GSM use when I travel to Europe? Can the phone be switched back and forth between GSM and CDMA?
