[citation][nom]ronch79[/nom]People see that the Samsung TV looks just as cool and also made by a reputable company while costing quite a bit less, and they buy it. [/citation]
Actually, you're correct for buying the Samsung. Samsung and Sony used the same LCD manufacturer so the product quality is the same. This is the same for MANY items on the market. Sony is a brand name, and they've relied on name recognition for FAR too long.
Their problems will not be fixed by a restructuring. It will be fixed by wiping out the board and putting in people who know how to run a business. Do not try to rebrand things for more than the competition and bamboozle the customer with flashy labels Do not remove advertised features. Do not try and force people to use your proprietary media.. Protect your customer's privacy on the internet with professional security. Do not SUE customers into the ground or treat them like thieves. Don't back a corrupt media industry. I could really go on.
Sony Is not what it used to be 20 years ago. It's been trying to ride on brand name for a long time, and it's finally caught up to them.
