change amd processor

Not without changing the whole motherboard, rather buy another laptop with an i5 processor.

Nope, AMD & Intel processors haven't used the same sockets for decades. Think the last time I had one that was interchangeable was my very old AMD K6 system -- back when you had a lot more x86 CPU choices than just AMD & Intel. After that, Intel started the whole "proprietary socket" wars.

Is there a particular problem the current laptop is having, & have you tried alternatives for fixing it -- replacing the HDD with a SSD, upgrading/increasing the RAM, etc.?
