Change the size to fit the tv

How can I change the change the picture to fit the tv without the remote

Need some more details, what are you displaying on the TV? Cable, box, computer, etc... Without a remote you can't change aspect ratio and such.

Unless you can access the menu system of the TV with the buttons on the TV you can't. Not all universal remotes have all the functions of the original one so either get an replacement original one or a Logitech Harmony remote that is programmed from their online database of IR codes.
