So I have been having a problem with a laptop I purchased on craigslist. It is a gaming laptop and the computer is having freezings and BSOD's all having to do with Power.

So that got me thinking of testing it using the battery, and after over 8 cycles. I have not had a freeze or BSOD.

Now do you all think this is a bad charger or that it has something to do with the chipset that is causing issues when running off the PSU.

Solution
Again, is this the proper OEM charger or a generic brand? If generic then that is likley your issue, you need to find your real OEM charger.
Get me a laptop model and I should be able to find you an affordable replacement on amazon.
"...computer is having freezings and BSOD's all having to do with Power."
And what makes you think that?

Does it freeze up right when you plug it in?
Make sure your using the CORRECT power brick/plug-in.

Is this the proper OEM power supply with the OEM logo on it, or is it some "replacement" brand chepo unit.
If not OEM then there is your problem.

All BSODs have to do with Power error. Majority of them happen when I plug in charger., all when charger connected.
