Charger not detected but works

I have a brand new Dell Inspiron. I get a page that says it doesn't recognize my charger and gives me the option to go to BIOS settings, but it is charging my battery fine. What is up with that? LOL

usually this is an issue with the power supply or the dc jack on the motherboard.either the power supply is not the one meant for the laptop(not enough wattage) or its faulty.i suggest returning it for a checkup since its still new.u can choose to ignore the message though but since its brand new issue like this should not have happen.
