Solved! charging a brand new moto g6

If the moto g6 comes in a box say 65% charged, should i let it drain all the way to 0% before recharging it or should i charge it to 100% when it falls to about 50%

You don't need to drain it all the way before charging. There is no set % you should charge at. It is up to you to decide what works for you.
