I need to find a cheap laptop for 100-300$ for just the sims 3 and maybe an expansion pack and some downloaded content! It would be wonderful if I could find one for 200$! I won't be downloading any more games.
You would not find any laptop capable of running any Sims games on a $100-$300 laptop.
You need a budget of at least $1,000; the Sims does, in fact, require a gaming laptop (I am a Simmer and I know what specs are required for the Sims to run).
No tax outside of California, New Jersey, and Tennessee.
EDIT: Save up money for you to be able to play the Sims. The Sims is not as demanding like Grand Theft Auto V or the Witcher 3, but does require a gaming laptop.

You maybe able to get away with a Nvidia 940m laptop card for the base game and one of the earlier eps issued.Something like this laptop Acer Laptop Aspire E5-572G-72M5. $659 on newegg. http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834315062&cm_re=940m_laptp-_-34-315-062-_-ProductIt would still be more than your price range. if the eps you want to add happen to be Pets, Seasons, Into the Future or Island Paradise you will need a higher end gaming laptop. in the $1000 range
Gaming on an integrated card or a weak budget laptop will eventually end up frying the laptop; it is not recommended what so ever. You need a laptop that has a dedicated card to be able to play the Sims.
I don't know what these people are talking about. My daughter plays sims 3 on this: http/www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834319445 It's $279 and has had NO problems playing that game. $1000 laptop? haha
Here's more info: http/www.thesims3.com/game/systemreq
Good luck that your daughters laptop will survive forcing it to play pc games on a computer not designed for gaming. Something worth reading
The minimum requirements are for base game only. These are the requirements as you add eps. Furthermore the requirements are fr desktop not laptop and laptops are weaker than desktop
