Choosing a laptop

Okay, I am in the market of a new laptop and I am willing to spend $500-$600, i need to be able to watch youtube, surf the web, use microsoft office, and use a little adobe lightroom. I put some thought in buying a 2011 mac book pro because I like Apple but I do not need Apple products. Used is fine to. Any recomendations?
