Choosing a laptop

Hey everyone,

First post here so not sure how things work.
I'm looking to upgrade my laptop (4yr old acer - not sure on specs as qritting from my phone).

I do some photography as a hobby and I shoot in raw format so would like so.ething that handles photoshop and lightroom easily while having a couple other programs open.

I want a card reader and ethernet port.

I'm not fused on price, but would like something below 2000 if possible.
I've started to look and feeling ransacked with the amount of products put there!

My mother is a photographer, web designer and graphics designer, and she has a Dell XPS 13 9360. It has an i7 8th generation and 16gb of RAM and I haven't heard her complain since she bought it. She has taken it with her to weddings to manage the photos on an external hard drive. It's about $1,300 and is pretty modern and high end.
