chrome killed my laptop help me

I tried to download chrome and when I clicked the download button the laptop powered down and will not power back up

If it's not powering up, I'm not sure it's Chrome that did it (not saying that you're wrong either). If it's not powering up it could be a hardware issue. How old was the laptop? Did you have any problems before?
