Solved! circulating acer on and off

i have an acer laptop and it constantly circulates on and off. there is no way to even get to the main menu to reset it or anything.

Can you attempt to get into the BIOS? Does the system perform a POST before power cycling?

No I can't get to anything. Tried to select F2 to get to the main menu and it just beeps and cuts off. I can past the first screen.

Test to see if your PSU's fan is running while powered. If it is it is still functional but it probably went bad.
