College Computer Setup

So I am planning on majoring in computer science. Something in the engineering/technological field at the least. Right now, I have a self built gaming desktop I'm going to take to college with me. So my question is, what laptop should I get? I am really looking into a Macbook Pro 15 in. I can always install Windows via bootcamp. Is a Macbook Pro 15 in + a very high end self built desktop good for a computer science/engineering student?
