Command Prompt Pops Up?

I was playing on my computer when command prompt (cmd/system32) popped up all of a sudden. I closed it because I had no time reading it. I have not downloaded anything in the past 3 weeks at least. What could have been it? (windows7)

Command prompts can be opened at anytime by programs. What you described could have been a script that was launched by a program you were using. The game itself may have created it to update or install something. I wouldn't be concerned with it as long as it doesn't occur regularly and you have a good Antivirus program.

So it's likely nothing to worry about.

note the time of the popup, and run this 'last activity view', and you can see exactly what the source/originator of the command prompt is....
