Terrible idea- some things in our universe should remain pristine. There are already fools destroying Earth and tearing down rainforests for greed, and now outer space. Really very sad.

It'd take forever to create something big enough for the naked eye to see, not to mention the cost of it.
Every year comets and meteorites strand on the moon, and probably delete some of the created tracks!

I think it's hugely wasted money that can be invested in things like creating a lunar base, doing research to find water on the moon, etc...

How do we even know that we've learned all we can from the surface of the moon? They could very well be destroying important historical landmarks.

Someone needs to knock on a few doors before this actually happens. Unfortunately, the space programs are hurting for money... hopefully their scientific minds won't stoop that low.

I think advertising as it is already goes way too far. Look at this site... There are really people out there inventing more and more ways to annoy us and to intrude our subconsciousness. But this idea just goes too far. The moon is everyones property to look at; And this has been since the evolvement of the eye. No one on earth has the right to put up ads on a place like this. Or do you see ads on any natural monuments? I will personally have to go to this company and tear the place apart, included is a lot of fun with the laser; james bond style, for good. I would do this for mankind and I'm sure many would follow...

This needs to blocked at every possible level, the moon is not a billboard to be defaced as some idiot seems fit. There are already plans that at some point we could colonise the moon how we meant to do that if someones turned it into one giant advert. Just because nothing lives on it atm doesn't mean we can treat it worse then we do this planet.
