Computer is on, no desktop. I've turn off and on the comp. don't work

Like I said. desktop don't come up, can't do nothing.

Did you hear the Post beep? Can you hear the Harddrive (if not solidstate) spinning up? Did you get the BIOS splash screen?
A little more info on your setup will help diagnose this problem as well.
