Computer not Starting After opening Back cover

I had just taken off my back cover to see where I would put my new RAM stick in. After putting everything back in it’s place, my laptop won’t start up. When I put it on the charger, no lights appear. Here are my system specs

Intel Core i5 5200U
Nvidia Geforce 940M
8gb RAM@ 1600MHz

If you wanted to know, I have an Acer aspire e5-573g-52g3

I plan on bringing it to a shop in 2 days.

Does it start if you remove that new RAM stick?

Does the spec on that stick perfectly match the other and is 8GB more than that model can handle? Take the memory test at www.crucial.com and see what your maximum is.

I haven’t gotten the new RAM stick yet. My system does support up to 16 gb. I have 8 as of now.

You'll have to go back in and see if any connection is broken. Start with the battery and the solitary RAM stick.

If you see no lights, it's unlikely to be the screen ribbon cable because that would start normally but just not display anythoing.
