Computer with windows 7 freezes when opening certain webpages. How can I unfreeze without shutting down?

Cursor won't move and pages stop loading. Don't like hard shut downs. Is there a quicker way to stop loading page or close the browser without using cursor but only the keyboard?

alt-f4 to close the browser

right click talkbar and then left click on task manager, you should be able to close the web browser from there
