Computer won't connect with my tv

I have an LG tv and when I turn on my computer, it doesn't show up on the tv. It recognizes the hdmi cable, but nothing happens when I put it on the right input(yes I have tried all the inputs). This same question is asked a couple other places, but the fix is for laptops. I tried turning on my computer before turning on the tv (a solution they said would work) but nothing happens. It just comes up saying "no signal".

This sounds silly but make sure the plugs go in all the way, as you push the plugs in, give it a little "jamming" action.

Also, there have been several versions of HDMI, try another cable, doesn't have to be the most expensive.

That is definetly something I should do, but unfortunately I have already tried that and nothing. We even used a different monitor, computer, and hdmi cable entirely and it didn't work, so I'm not sure what the problem is. It was perfectly fine before we moved it. Thanks for helping though.
