Connect Blu Ray to TV wirelessly

I have a Sony Bravia smart TV. I just bought a Bluetooth enabled Sony Blu Ray player. I would like to connect them completely wirelessly via Bluetooth, but all the directions I can find for setting up the connection involve on screen menus, which I can't access because they're not connected. When I try to pair them using the screen mirroring menu (the closest option I can find on the tv) the Blu Ray player doesn't show up. I feel
like I'm doing something wrong but I can't figure out what.

Bluetooth is audio only and can't be used the way you want to.
The only wireless solution is to use an HDMI transmitter and receiver.

Hmm thanks for the answer, I did not know that. I guess I just assumed Bluetooth would connect video as what is the point of Bluetooth in a Blu Ray/DVD player if it can't be used to connect video wirelessly? Why would I want to connect audio only?
