As of right now, I have a 2.1 system connected to my desktop PC. Soon I will be getting a laptop for college and I want to bring my speakers with me, but I don't know if I can effectively use them with a single output port on my laptop. I have Cerwin Vega XD3s which consist of a master speaker and a slave speaker, so there is only one cord for input for both speakers. Then I have a Polk PSW10 subwoofer that also has one input cord.

My plan was to use this (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B0001F347K/_encoding=UTF8?coliid=I3UPQ3FJRIFCXH&colid=1QS89B8TODC72) to connect the speakers together and switch between different inputs depending on what exactly I want outputting to the speakers.

This is the laptop I plan on buying. It has a headphone output and an SPDIF output (https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834315901&cm_re=aspire_nitro-_-34-315-901-_-Product)

Is there any way to do this effectively?

I figured I could connect the speakers and sub with a y-splitter to combine the signal and then use another to split it back into a left and right signal but I don't know if it will work how I am thinking it will.

Any advice?

Connect the headphone output of the laptop and other sources to the inputs on the selector. Split the output of the selector and connect both the sub and CVs to it.

Okay awesome, thanks! After looking at the source selector I actually realized I can use is as a 4x2 so that I can have two outputs (speakers and sub).
