Question Connect DVD home theatre system (LG LHD657) to laptop via HDMI

I have a LG LHD Home theatre (5.1) system and i was trying to connect my laptop (Dell 3558 ) to the 5.1 system via HDMi cable.
I have an HDMI OUT in my home theatre and trying to connect my laptop to the HT, sound is not coming out thru HT, in fact the the HDMI device is not showing in the laptop itself.

Can any one help me out?

you will need a HDMI IN port on the home theatre

despite that, I don´t think this will work with this laptop anyways, you can try using hdmi sound via the sound settings in windows

The real problem is that, MY LAPTOP NOT SHOWING AN HDMI OUT DEVICE

i tried with all the possibilities that

1. restart the WINDOWS AUDIO SERVICES
2. Refresh the OUTPUT AUDIO DEVICES
3. try to add the HDMI device manually

worked none! still i can't find my HDMI audio device in Sounds.

Does any Splitter / sound card will help me out?

you will need a HDMI IN port on the home theatre

laptop have HDMI output. LG have HDMI output. they can't be both output.

Which exact LG LHD system are you using?
If it has an optical in, you could use something like this:

eventually try using a USB thumb drive with the 5.1 audio file on it and play it directly on the LG system
