Connect Harman Kardon AVR235 to Bose Acousitmass 7 surround Sound

I’m trying to get a Bose Acoutimass 7 system to work with a Harman Kardon AVR235 receiver. I have speaker wires going into the subwoofer and then out to receiver as designed by Bose. I am bringing in sound from new TV via optical. Headphones get great sounds, but I can’t get surround sound to work. It see the left and right front speakers but doesn’t see the center channel or subwoofer. Any help?

Acoutimass 7 comes with L-C-R and sub. How many speakers are u telling your AVR you are using? If you select anything less than 5.1 the AVR may still be operating in stereo mode.

Also note the A7 takes the full-range outputs from your L-R to extract bass information, and not use your AVR LFE Out. This may have confused the AVR.

Would love to pour into the manuals, but busy morning, can't.

I found out how to do it even when all the display indicators wern’t lighting. Once I played something that used the center channel and subwoofer, they kicked in. Thanks for your help.

Bose doesn't publish the impedance of the satellites so you would have to measure them to find out what receiver would work with them.

Some Bose are so low that they won't work with any receivers.
The woofer won't work with anything other than the Bose main unit so you would need to get another self powered woofer too.
