What exactly is your goal in connecting the two together? As far as I know, if you want to mess with the capabilities of the PS3, you'll have to enter the realm of Linux.

Do you mean your trying to use your laptop as a monitor? If thats the case then it wont work, without an external card, which will cause enough lag to make anything unplayable.
