connect two tab 2s for gaming

About to go on holidays with the family and would like my boys to be able to link/connect their Tab2 10.1 to each other for gaming purposes - without the need for a router
Any ideas, or is there a function in the tablet that allows this?

Can you be more specific? Almost every multiplayer game is going to require some kind of internet access in order to play with others, and the ones that don't usually end up being played on a single device. I'm not sure if you're going to be able to pull that off.
