Solved! Connect UHD Samsung TV to Sony home theatre

I am trying to connect a Samsung UHD tv to a Sony home theatre system DAV-DZ110 I have tried scary to HDMI through a converter box but cannot get sound from TV to go through the Sony system any thoughts

The only input that the Sony has is stereo analog audio. Simplest way is to connect an optical to analog converter to the optical audio output of the TV. You may have to turn the optical output on, the TV speakers off, and change the audio output type in the TV menu to get it working. Check the TV manual.
