connected t.v to laptop now t.v will not work

Hi,i recently connected my Samsung t.v to my laptop but now my t.v has no picture but has sound can any body offer me some advice

I recently connected my Samsung t.v to my laptop via hdmi port
After I did this I was no longer
Able to view the t.v
But the t.v did have sound
Is there anything that I can do
To get this back to the way it was before I connected to my laptop
