I have two receivers that I am trying to connect to be able to play either on the same set of speakers. One receiver is a newer and is used for our TV, DVD, satellite, etc. The other receiver is pretty old and is connected to a phono and cassette player. Neither has any output audio connections. The old receiver just has Phono, 2 tape and 2 vcr inputs and speaker wire outputs.
I have some RCA plug adapter wires that look like I could use to connect the speaker output of the old receiver to an input of the new receiver ( thinking the CD inputs).
Will this work? Any harm in trying it? If not I'm guessing the only other choice is a speaker switch but they are more expensive and I have the RCA adapter.
