connecting amplifier to pc at home

Solution
1000w is fluff advertising peak BS numbers.

I'd plug it into a 10 amp 12 v direct power supply and call it a day.

But do me a favor and monitor it for a while for temperature problems, and don't leave it on while you're not around until you're 100% sure its not going to burn down your house.

Are you refering to an ATX PSU? Naw man, they don't even have 6 amps on the 12v line, you'll burn your house down.

You really want a 13.8V PSU that can handle 30 amps but that would be so expensive and robust i think its major overkill, i'd be willing to bet that a 10 amp unit would be fine.
