how do you connect your laptop to your tv for streaming movies?

if you have a hdmi output it's easy you just connect the tv with a normal hdmi cable. for vga/dvi only laptops you need an adapter

edit: how bout you tell us the laptop maker/model?

acer aspire v5 531p-4129. it does have a hdmi output. so just a regular hdmi cable will work? thanks

yep, normal hdmi cable will do the trick.
