I don't have WiFi where I live right now. Would I be able to remove the cable from my TV and connect it to my computer's ethernet port. If so, what connector would I need to purchase? Would I need to purchase anything else? Thank you for any help.

You need to provide a whole lot more info on this.

What is the other end of that cable connected to? What type of signal is it delivering?

I am living in a house where we have cable TV throughout the house, but the landlord won't get a router for wifi. I have a cable through my wall that is attached to the TV. If I want to get on the Internet, I need to take my laptop to a hotspot. I was just wondering if there was a way I could get online without needing to go out. No big deal. Thank you for your responses :)

That cable delivers a TV signal, not an ethernet (computer) signal.

Possible solution? Buy the landlord a WiFi router and install it for him.
