Hi guys, recently purchased a Bose Solo 5 sound bar only to realize it uses an optical audio connection which my TV doesn't have (Samsung model ln32d403). What are my options? Is there some kind of adapter I could buy or am I out of luck?
If you don't use the built in TV tuner then connect your source to the soundbar directly. You can use an HDMI input selector with audio extraction to connect multiple sources.
If you do use the tuner you can wire an speaker to line level converter to the wires connecting the internal TV speakers. That would give you an analog audio output for the soundbar.
This TV doesn´t have any Audio out options. The only thing you could do is getting a set top box with audio options, preferably an optical output for the Bose system.
