Solved! Connecting two laptops together

Hello,
One of my Dell laptops will not boot up. It is getting a system 32 error file. I have another that is working just fine. May I connect the two computers together so that I may transfer the file that I need to the other?

Unless you can get the other one to boot, no you cannot, i.e. either through USB or a network.
