I own a Philips 8008 that I bought 1,5 year ago and I have had a Ths5000W Philips for quite some time(more than 8 years) and unfortunately I can't make them work properly! I'm aware of the fact that my Hts is really old and limited as far as its available connections but that didn't seem to be of a problem when it was connected to my previous Philips HDReady. And to be more specific, there is no problem when the DVD player reads the disc.I need to mention that they are connected via an RGB cable(no HDMI or Optical ports available for my Hts).Video and sound work fine. The problem is when I want to listen the Tv sound through my Hts sth which seems to be impossible! Any advice would be of great help. I know that my Hts is a little bit obsolete compared to my Tv but still......

Let me put it straight! I have connected my Philips Hts5000W to my Philips8008 via RGB(Scart). Dvd plays smoothly and so does the sound. However, when I press the Tv button on my Hts remote control which is supposed to transfer the Tv sound(while watching Tv channels through a decoder of Internet Tv) to my Hts ,nothing happens. I note again that every time I did that when I had the same Hts connected to a Philips 32PFL9603D nothing went wrong. And to expand my query a bit more! Is there anyway to put in use my Hts(which offers only analogue ports) apart from using it as a DVD by connecting it to any of these devices :philips Tv8008, XBOX360, Panasonic 3D Blu-ray Dmp-BDT220?
