converting japanese to english

does anyone know of a software or how to convert a home theater system bought in japan from japanese to english

What are you trying to convert? On screen displays? Please clarify.

You should be able to find a manual for the specific model of your system. In it, you should find instructions on changing the default language.

you can use google googles:

or if you can find a pdf format file you can copy and paste text into google translate.

i'm not sure you can convert all of the on-lcd information to english. perhaps there is an option but you would need to read the manual to see.
