I have had my y580 for a while now and whenever I play games ( skyrim, bioshock infinite, and some other titles ) the notebook gets pretty hot especially around the mousepad, which is the area where my hand is resting and it gets quite uncomfortable. I was wondering what is a good cooling pad that isn't too expensive and one that isn't fricken huge ^_^. I've rounded up a couple ones that seem to have good reviews and all are cooler master

( not sure if the fact that these cooling pads elevate the laptop will work well for tying and so on )

If you don't mind spending a bit more moeny, I seriously reccomend this:

I own it and it cools my Lenovo Y570 (which happens to be the same size as the Y580) very well and it fits perfectly. Here is a picture of my laptop sitting on it:

It really is a great little cooling pad that keeps my laptop cool during games, however if you aren't so fond of spending that much on a cooling pad, here is my alternative suggestion:

This one is also good because it has a large fan, however I cannot testify for how good it is.
